How critical are your wrists in your golf swing?
With golf, applying the smallest tweaks here and there can make a world of difference. Here are a couple of roles that the wrists play in the golf swing:
1. Your wrists control the face of the club in the backswing and downswing.
2. Flexible, strong wrists can provide the ideal wrist angle you need at impact leading to consistent ball flight, better contact and greater distance.

Winter Golf Training With TPI Certified Instructor Scott D. Sessions
Winter time is a sensitive subject to press upon golfers. Seeking out a range with heated stalls is hard to come by nowadays...
Instead of taking swing after swing, grinding out your kinks, you can invest more of your time working on your body, the main driver of your swing and what really matters most when trying to play your best. There is no heavy lifting and you will barely break a sweat.
TPI Golf Swing Analysis
We start with a comprehensive assessment of your swing and any physical limitations. My goals are simple:
- I want to help you develop an efficient swing that is powerful and repetitive.
- I want to make sure that you enjoy the game without physical discomfort.
To do this, I will identify your physical limitations (some of which may not be obvious to you). Next, we correct the limitations through basic golf instruction and golf specific exercises. Lastly, we apply the corrections to your golf swing.
Due to increased flexibility / range of motion, you will realize more distance and likely achieve lower scores.
